To obtain the best results from your print files please follow these guidelines.
File Formats Accepted
High resolution PDF files / Tiff files / Jpg files.
Resolution
All images and photos should be:
100 DPI at 100% of the actual artwork size.
200 DPI at 50% of the actual artwork size.
400 DPI at 25% of the actual artwork size.
Bleed
All graphics require bleed - bleed requirements for each piece are indicated in the print templates.
Color
Colors must be defined in CMYK. Pantone Spot Colors may be requested, but exact color matches are not always possible due to technical limitations in the production process.
For rich blacks please use the following color breakdown when preparing your artwork:
Define black as 4-Color (CMYK) = Cyan - 25% / Magenta - 25% / Yellow - 25% / Black - 100%
File Transfer
Files can be sent by: FTP, DVD, CD or E-mail. All files sent by ftp or e-mail should be compressed (.sit, .sea, or .zip). Contact us regarding FTP log in and e-mail address.
Soft Proofs - Layout
If requested by the client a soft proof will be supplied for layout purposes, this is to ensure that no elements have shifted and that the integrity of the design is correct before output.
Hard Proofs - Color
If you require a 8.5" x 11" proof for color comparison / accuracy, we can print and deliver for $40.00. The proof can be of a cropped section or the complete layout.
Production
It is assumed that all files supplied by clients are ready to print and that any errors contained within the artwork are solely the responsibility of the customer. If you have any concerns, please order a hard proof prior to print.
Files that are not supplied in a format ready to print and which require additional design / production in order to produce a printable file will be charged at $20 per quarter hour spent / $80 per hour.
Please Note
We store client files for a period of 60 days after which they are deleted from our systems. Client supplied disks will not be returned unless otherwise requested and are returned at the customers expense.
